Sex Abuse, Drugs, Lack of Food Pose 'Immediate Risk' to Kids at State-Funded Group Homes
Assemblymember Mark Stone recently got legislation passed to eliminate group homes in California by 2021 and replaced by short-term facilities that would provide housing and medical services before children are transferred to foster homes. In order to close group homes, counties would need to recruit more foster families than ever before.
