We Welcome Sarah Bradford, Our New Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator

We are excited to announce the hiring of Sarah Bradford as our new Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator. Sarah joined CASA in late May, and has already successfully lead her first Volunteer Informational Session.

Sarah spent the majority of her career as a director, teacher, and family advocate at a nonprofit parent cooperative school. Sarah holds a BA in Leadership and Organizational Studies from Saint Mary’s College, and her Early Childhood Education is from Cal State Bakersfield and Diablo Valley College.

Sarah first came to us as a volunteer advocate. Her own experience of going through training, being sworn in, and working with a child made her interested in joining the CASA staff. She said, “I have been continually impressed by the level of commitment and dedication displayed by everyone in the organization and I'm so appreciative to be a part of it.” She feels most connected in organizations that she is passionate about and with people who share similar goals, and says “This is certainly something that has made me feel very at home here.”

Sarah is passionate about mental health, inclusion, social justice issues, and the importance of play in early childhood. She is excited about contributing in creating an inclusive organizational culture at CASA with a focus on outreach and recruitment of a more diverse team of volunteers who will create a lasting impact on children in foster care.

Sarah lives in Contra Costa County with her husband of 22 years. They have a daughter who attends college in Chicago, a son who is in high school, and a 2-year-old rescue pup named Boone that joined their family during the pandemic. She loves taking walks and hiking local trails with Boone, and visiting the coast or Tahoe.

Please join us in welcoming Sarah to the CASA team!
