CASA Program Operations
While CASA of Contra Costa County has closed its office and suspended all in-person staff and volunteer activity in response to the COVID-19 California state of emergency, we continue to operate and serve our community’s foster youth.
Informational Sessions are being offered online on their original date and time. Register for an online Informational Session.
We continue to accept and process volunteer applications.
We are scheduling and conducting online interviews with volunteer applicants.
Volunteer Initial Training
Our Volunteer Initial Training sessions originally scheduled to begin in March and April have been canceled. We are currently offering afternoon and evening online training sessions. Scheduling will be discussed during the interview process.
Although our Case Coordinators are working from home, they are available to answer questions and provide support and case consultation to our volunteer team leaders and advocates via phone, video conference, and email.
CASA Therapy Project
Our Therapy Project program offering teletherapy to foster youth remains operational. We continue to accept foster youth referrals and match each youth with a licensed therapist. If you are a licensed mental health professional who would like to volunteer for the CASA Therapy Project, please email email@example.com.
